A gellant for clays and a binder for foundry sand molds. Diluent for epoxy resins; reacts with amines. Can accelerate cure with more reactive amines such as XTJ-504. Can enhance mechanical properties in some cases at lower concentrations (<10-15 phr). Flexibilizing at higher concentrations.
