Penacolite Resin R-2200 Resorcinol-formaldehyde resin Indspec Aminoplaste / Phenoplaste (UF, MUF) >> Resorcinol formaldehyde ADHESIVE >> Water-based Penacolite® Resins Penacolite® Resins are resorcinol-formaldehyde condensation products used as adhesion promotors in tires and mechanical rubber products. Reinforcing materials such as rayon, nylon, fiberglass, polyester, steel, and aramid cords have all been successfully bonded to rubber with resorcinol based adhesive systems. Other rubber products such as conveyor belts, power transmission belts, V-belts, and various pneumatic and hydraulic hoses also depend on resorcinol or resorcinol derived bonding agents. The liquid Penacolite® Resins are designed for use in resorcinol-formaldehyde-latex (RFL) dip formulations for the treating of organic fibers such as polyester, nylon, rayon, or aramid. They can be used in place of resorcinol in RFL dip formulations without the need to age the resin solution as is required when using resorcinol. They contain no free formaldehyde, are stable, and will not polymerize during storage. The lower solids resins have low viscosities, making them ideal for automatic metering equipment and bulk purchases.
