Emulprene E-1012 Styrene butadiene rubber Insa Styrene copolymer >> Styrene butadiene emulsions ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt >> Pressure sensitive (HMPSA) SEALANT Emulprene E-1012 is a slightly cross linked hot emulsion based, non-staining, non-discoloring, Styrene-Butadiene Rubber polymerized in a rosin/acid soap emulsion and coagulated using a salt/acid emulsion. E-1012 does not generate nitrosamines during vulcanization or during processing finished articles. This elastomer´s high molecular weight (high Mooney Viscosity) helps increase cohesive strength in adhesives and sealants, binding ability of fibrous materials and serves as a processing aid in extruding mechanical goods. E-1012 is supplied in lightly talc-coated flakes inside 25 Kg low melting point LDPE bags. This product should be stored in a dry, cool, ventilated area away from direct sunlight. INSA manufacture Hot SBRs and Cold SBRs. Hot SBRs are used more frequently than cold SBRs in adhesive formulations. Emulprene SBRs are used in many general purposes including general-purpose construction adhesive, tape adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesives. Emulprene SBRs are easily dissolved in aliphatic, aromatic, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Highly crosslinked grades however may swell or form a gel, high bound styrene copolymers do not dissolve in low boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons (pentane, hexane), and provide good flexibility and water resistance. They are not frequently used where aging characteristics are critical. The majority of pressure sensitive adhesives are formulated with more than one type of synthetic rubber in combination with adhesion promoting resins. Natural rubber is also used to improve the bonding properties. Adhesives based on SBRs are often preferred to natural rubber adhesives because of their advantages in thermal oxidative stability, abrasion resistance and processability. Slightly crosslinked hot emulsion based, non-staining, non-discoloring, Styrene-butadiene rubber. Polymerized in a rosin/acid soap emulsion and coagulated using a salt/acid emulsion. Possesses a high molecular weight. Does not generate nitrosamines during vulcanization or during processing finished articles. Increases cohesive strength in adhesives and sealants and binding ability of fibrous materials. Applications : general-purpose construction adhesive, tape adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesives.
