Emulprene E-1502 Styrene butadiene rubber Insa Styrene copolymer >> Styrene butadiene rubber, SBR ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt >> Pressure sensitive (HMPSA) Emulprene 1502 is an SBR elastomer with 23.5% styrene content. This product is manufactured by cold polymerization and uses a non-staining antioxidant. Emulprene 1502 is widely used as raw material in tire, heel and shoe-sole formulations and in an ample variety of industrial products. SBR elastomer with 23.5% styrene content. INSA manufacture Hot SBRs and Cold SBRs. Hot SBRs are used more frequently than cold SBRs in adhesive formulations. Emulprene SBRs are used in many general purposes including general-purpose construction adhesive, tape adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesives. Emulprene SBRs are easily dissolved in aliphatic, aromatic, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Highly crosslinked grades however may swell or form a gel, high bound styrene copolymers do not dissolve in low boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons (pentane, hexane), and provide good flexibility and water resistance. They are not frequently used where aging characteristics are critical. The majority of pressure sensitive adhesives are formulated with more than one type of synthetic rubber in combination with adhesion promoting resins. Natural rubber is also used to improve the bonding properties. Adhesives based on SBRs are often preferred to natural rubber adhesives because of their advantages in thermal oxidative stability, abrasion resistance and processability. SBR elastomer manufactured by cold polymerization and containing a non-staining antioxidant. Provides advantages in thermal oxidative stability, abrasion resistance and processability. Applications : general-purpose construction adhesive, tape adhesive and pressure-sensitive adhesives.
