Keywax 6-35 M Butyl rubber Key Polymer Rubber - Elastomer >> Butyl rubber, IIR ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt KEYWAX 6-35M is dispersion of butyl rubber in microcrystalline wax. It offers the formulator of hot melt adhesives and coatings a convenient mean of incorporating rubbery polymers into formulations that are compatible with petroleum wax and polyisobutylene. It is supplied at the maximum concentration that can be blended with additional wax using simple mixing equipment. Eliminates the need for heavy duty rubber mixing equipment. Increases the viscosity of petroleum waxes to control penetration on porous surfaces and coating weight for laminating. When blended with waxes, improves: Adhesion Heat Seal Ability Tensile Strength Scuff Resistance Flexibility Toughness Bend Fracture Flaking Resistance to Oxidation Water Vapor Transmission Resistance LAMINATING Glassine to glassine Aluminum foil to tissue Aluminum foil to paper Kraft to Kraft Printed paper to board ASPHALT can also be upgraded with KEYWAX for laminating. Benefits are improved low temperature properties, increased toughness, impact, elasticity, tackiness, and decreased cold flow, oxidation and oil exudation. Butyl Rubber is stabilized with antioxidants suitable for wet and dry foods, including wrap for cheese, a wet and fatty food. On request, special concentrates can be prepared using any available grade of butyl rubber or polyisobutylene and wax. If desirable, vinyl acetate/ethylene copolymers, polyethylene, petroleum hydrocarbons, polyterpene resins or other compatible food grade materials can be included in the concentrates. Dispersion of butyl rubber in microcrystalline wax. Used in hot melt adhesives. Increases viscosity of petroleum waxes to control penetration on porous surfaces and coating weight for laminating. Improves adhesion, heat seal ability, tensile strength, scuff resistance, flexibility, toughness, bend fracture, flaking, resistance to oxidation, and water vapor transmission resistance when blended with waxes. Contains antioxidants. Applications : laminating (glassine to glassine, aluminum foil to tissue, aluminum foil to paper, kraft to kraft, printed paper to board).
