Typical applications are: imitation leather for shoes, handbags, clothes; tarpaulin coverings and foils; tubing, gaskets; cables for mid range temperatures. It is compatible with PVC, chlorinated rubbers, polystyrene, nitrocellulose and ethylcellulose. It is partially compatible with phenolic, urea-formaldehyde and melamine resins and polymethylmethacrylate. It is incompatible with cellulose acetate. Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DOP or DEHP). Used as a plasticizer for PVC in gaskets.
