The solutions obtained with PEARLSTICK 46-10/16 have a high viscosity, which is an advantage for the bonding of highly absorbent materials. The addition of a polyfunctional isocyanate (QUIDUR® 446-31 or QUIDUR® 246-06) to PEARLSTICK 46-10/16 improves the heat-resistance and the strength of the joints. As a rule, the addition of 5 parts by weight of QUIDUR® to 100 parts by weight of a 20% solution of PEARLSTICK 46-10/16 should be adequate. The pot-life of the mixture should be taken into account.
