Alcogum 9710 Sodium polyacrylate 9003-04-7 National Starch and Chemical-Alco Chemical Rheology Modifiers / Thickeners Acrylics/ Acrylates Chloroprene Rubber (CR) Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) Ethylene co-terpolymers - solid (EVA, EMA...) Polyvinyl acetate emulsions & derivatives (PVAc…) ADHESIVE ALCOGUM™ polymers are pre-activated high molecular weight rheology modifiers used to viscosify a wide range of adhesive compounds. ALCOGUM thickeners provide stable viscosity over a broad pH range and are resistant to biological degradation. ALCOGUM 9710 is a clear to slightly opaque liquid sodium polyacrylate thickener which can be used in the thickening of natural and synthetic latexes for a wide variety of applications in coatings and rubber articles. ALCOGUM 9710 may be used to thicken styrene-butadiene, neoprene, acrylic, vinyl acetate and ethylene-vinyl acetate latex compounds. In general, it is a satisfactory thickener for latex which has an alkaline reaction, although some success has been achieved in neutral or slightly acid systems. ALCOGUM 9710 has been disclosed to U.S.D.A. for use in adhesives in contact with foods. Clear to slightly opaque liquid sodium polyacrylate thickener. Used for in adhesives in contact with foods. Provides stable viscosity over a broad pH range. Offers resistance to biological degradation.
