Hycar VTBNX 1300X33 Methacrylate terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer Noveon Rubber - Elastomer >> Butadiene-acrylonitrile / Nitrile rubber, NBR SEALANT ADHESIVE Hycar Reactive Liquid Polymers (RLP's) are 100% solids liquid rubbers used to improve the toughness, flexibility, adhesion or impact resistance of thermoset resin systems including epoxies, vinyl esters, unsaturated polyesters, acrylics and urethanes. The RLP polymers are a family of butadiene homopolymers and butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymers with functionality at the chain ends. Functional groups are carboxyl (COOH), amine (NH or NH2), methacrylate or epoxy. The acrylonitrile content varies in these polymers from zero to 26% which directly affect the solubility and glass transition temperatures (Tg's) of the materials. Hycar VTBNX 1300X33 is a methacrylate terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer. It is derived from the reaction of CTBNX 1300x9 with glycidyl methacrylate. VTBNX 1300X33 is used predominantly by blending with existing acrylic, PVC, vinyl ester or unsaturated polyester resin systems to gain product performance improvements. Enhances the Toughness/ Flexibility of Thermoset Resins such as Vinyl Ester and Unsaturated Polyesters Improves Durability (Fatigue Resistance) Increases Impact/Crack Resistance Enhances Sound Dampening Properties Additional Reactivity in the Form of Secondary Hydroxyl Group May be used as a Monomer in Free Radical Polymerization Sealants and Adhesives End uses include Automotive, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial and Construction To ensure optimal product performance, store at room temperature or below. Methacrylate terminated butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer. Used in adhesives and sealants. Provides enhanced toughness/flexibility of thermoset resins (vinyl ester and unsaturated polyesters). Improves durability Increases impact/crack resistance. Offers sound dampening properties.
