Pacific 6138 Diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A modified with multifunctional acrylate monomer Pacific Epoxy Polymers Epoxide (EP) >> Bisphenol A based ADHESIVE Acrylic monomer modification of standard liquid epoxy resin. Fast reaction rates, low temperature cure, very low viscosity, good substrate wetting. (EEW based on reaction with active hydrogen.) 6138 is a bisphenol A resin modified with a multifunctional acrylate monomer. It is highly reactive with amine curing agents. 6138 will cure at temperatures down to 35°F. It is recommended in adhesive, patching and other applications requiring rapid curing. 6138 is lower in viscosity that 6137 and this extremely low viscosity will permit formulations which do not require other diluents. Pacific 6138, unlike other bisphenol A resins, is not stable at high temperatures and processes which result in heat above 120°F should be avoided. The use of modifiers, such as reactive diluents, may also result in polymerization and therefore their use should be carefully screened prior to use. DGEBPA Diglycidyl Ether of Bisphenol A (modified with multifunctional acrylate monomer) Bisphenol A resin (DGEBPA) modified with a multifunctional acrylate monomer. Used in adhesives. Offers very low viscosity, high reactivity with amine curing agents, rapid curing, low temperature cures and good substrate "wetting". Does not require other diluents.
