It is a low-toxicity product that contains less than 0.5% aromatics, and it has a higher solvent strength than competitive aliphatic solvents. Conosol 260 is environmentally friendly and meets numerous FDA regulations (21 CFR) for direct and indirect food additives. Penreco has determined that this product meets the low vapor pressure (LVP) VOC exemption for consumer products as set by the California Air Resources Board.
