Dualite M6050AE Polymeric microsphere Pierce & Stevens Extenders / Fillers ADHESIVE SEALANT DUALITE® POLYMERIC MICROSPHERES Produced by a patented process and marketed under the name Dualite®, Pierce & Stevens' hollow, polymeric microspheres offer many unique properties. The inert coating on the microsphere is compatible with a wide variety of ingredients, assuring formulation compatibility. The microspheres offer maximum resiliency and their spherical shape allows them to uniformly distribute mechanical stress. They may be mixed at high speed, without the microsphere rupturing. The elastic shell is non-friable and can be sprayed with very little microsphere loss. Applications for the thermoplastic, custom-engineered, low-density, hollow microspheres cover a wide range of products in many industries. For example, in the FRP industry, they are used in bathroom tubs, showers and spas and also for architectural columns, fence posts and porch railings. They can be found in modeling clays, automotive underbody coatings, sporting equipment, patching compounds for boats and cars, and in building materials. Pierce & Stevens has available DUALITE® expanded. DUALITE® consists of a flexible, ultra-low density thermoplastic hollow microsphere core filled with gas, and surface coated with calcium carbonate. DUALITE® are low density microspheres recommended for evaluation as lightweight additives to reduce density, increase volume solids and lower volume cost. These resilient polymeric hollow microspheres can maintain, or may enhance, end product properties. All are coated with calcium carbonate.
