Vectomer VE 5015 Tris(4-vinyloxybutyl) trimellitate 196109-17-8 Reilly Industries-Morflex Polymer intermediates ADHESIVE >> Radiation Curing (UV/EB) VE 5015 is a low viscosity, trifunctional aromatic diluent monomer: 1,2,4-Benzenetricarboxylic acid, tris [4-(ethenyloxy) butyl] ester VE 5015 builds toughness and cross-link density in coatings, inks and adhesives. VE 5015 is a trifunctional aromatic diluent monomer. It is a low viscosity clear liquid that is designed to improve cross-link density of coating inks, adhesives and other formulations. Product/Application Benefits Fast cure speed Low initiation energy High gloss Toughness Solvent resistance Low viscosity Low odor Formulations containing VE 5015 along with VEctomerä oligomers and initiator may be UV-cured at 50 to 500 mJ/cm² (approx. 500 to 50 fpm) with two 200 watt/inch medium pressure mercury arc lamps). Vinyl ether formulations containing initiators may be cured with electron beam irradiation at 1 to 4 mrad. Vinyl ethers cure by an acid-catalyzed reaction. Basic components such as amines in the formulations should be avoided. Curing is not inhibited by oxygen but may be inhibited by high atmospheric humidity. Inhibition (if any) will depend on the formulation, substrate and temperature in the curing zone. Low viscosity, trifunctional vinyl ether terminated aromatic ester diluent monomer. Improves cross-link density of adhesives. Provides fast cure speed, low initiation energy, high gloss, toughness, solvent resistance, low odor and low viscosity. Curing is not inhibited by oxygen but may be inhibited by high atmospheric humidity.
