It improves the processing safety of rubber compounds based on CR, CSM, CM and CIIR. It raises the critical tempe- rature of basic accelerators and thus prevents scorching. On the other hand the activiting temperature of acid accelerators is decreased by Rhenofit 2060. In polymers containing chlorine, especially CR, Rhenofit 2060 serves as an acid acceptor and thus improves the ageing properties of the vulcanizates. In cold cured rubber coated fabrics, Rhenofit 2060 is used to neutralize acid traces. Moduli are generally increased by the addition of Rhenofit 2060. 3 - 5 phr CR, CSM or CM and CIIR compounds of all kinds (e.g. for technical moulded and extruded articles, tyre side walls and roofing films). Further applications are adhesives based on CR, compounds with chloroparaffins, cork and sulphur chloride factice (e.g. for erasers, bathing caps, rubberized sheets etc.). Low active, fine particle sized magnesium oxide. Used as curing activator and acid acceptor for adhesives based on CR. Improves processing safety of rubber compounds based on CR, CSM, CM and CIIR and ageing properties. Offers prevention against scorching. Reduces activiting temperature of acid accelerators. Increases moduli. Use level: 3-5 phr.
