Rhenofit TRIM/S Trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate Rhein Chemie Catalysts / Accelerators / Vulcanizing agents Rubber - Elastomer (Chloroprene, Butyl …) SEALANT Rhenofit® TRIM/S Activator for peroxide vulcanization 70 % trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate 30 % silicic acid Polymer radicals, formed during peroxide vulcanization, react with the mthacrylate groups of the coagent Rhenofit TRIM/S, thus providing additional reactive sites for crosslinking. Therefore, the degree of polymer crosslinking may be considerably increased from that normally obtained by greater addi- tions of peroxide. Generally coagents increase the rate of crosslinking. The vulcanizates show partly increased hardness, higher moduli, outstanding re- silience and good abrasion resistance. Storage stability and processing safety of compounds will be to some degree limited by the presence of Rhenofit TRIM/S. Rhenofit TRIM/S is particulary suitable for EPDM compounds which are heavily loaded with carbon black, and for black NBR compounds of high quality. 1 - 3 phr technical moulded and extruded articles based on EPDM, EPM, NBR, CM etc., e.g. seals, bushings, cables, profiles etc. Blend of trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate and silicic acid. Used as an activator for peroxide vulcanization in technical moulded and extruded seals based on EPDM, EPM, NBR, CM. Can be used in combination with a coagent to improve rate of crosslinking. Provides increased hardness, higher modulus, outstanding resilience and good abrasion resistance. Use level: 1-3 phr.
