Novares CA 100 Phenol modified indene coumarone Rütgers Chemicals Tackifier >> Coumarone indene Polyvinyl acetate emulsions & derivatives (PVAcā¦) ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt >> Pressure sensitive (HMPSA) ADHESIVE >> Solvent based ADHESIVE >> Water-based polar modified aromatic hydrocarbon resin NOVARES CA resins are phenol-modified indene-coumarone-resins Unlike natural resins which are also soluble in alcohols. NOVARES CA resins have the advantage of a more uniform composition, low acid numbers and better ageing resistance. NOVARES CA resins do not display any tendency to recrystallize and can reduce or inhibit the tendency of natural resins to crystallize in compounds. In comparison with the non-modified indene-coumarone resins, NOVARES CA resins have better solubility and compatibility characteristics, due to their polar structure. For water and solvent based adhesives the tackifier resins NOVARES CA are proven as alternative to natural resins. Natural resins show no homogeneity and contribute to crystallization. The tackifier resin nNOVARES CA 100 exhibits the following advantages: no tendency to crystallize inhibit the tendency of natural resins to crystallize in compounds excellent compatibility with PVAc-polymer solutions uniform product quality increased initial tack Advantage of resins in waterborne adhesives increased heat resistance increased shear strength improved bond development improved dry tack increased peel strength improved resistance to water and chemicals Phenol-modified indene-coumarone-resin. Used as a tackifier in water and solvent based adhesives. Increases initial tack, peel and shear strength. Inhibits the tendency of natural resins to crystallize in compounds. Provides heat, water, ageing and chemicals resistance.
