Linpar 10-12 n-Paraffin 64771-72-8 Sasol Solvents Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Polyolefins (PE, PP…) SEALANT LINPAR is the brand name of the high-purity n-paraffins made by Sasol Italy, the world leader in the production of n-paraffins. MAIN APPLICATIONS Offering the intrinsic advantages of straight-chain molecules in a product of high purity, n-paraffins are particularly well suited as premium raw materials for a wide range of applications: intermediates in the manufacture of surfactants intermediates in the manufacture of chloroparaffins production of oils for aluminum cold rolling catalyst carrier for olefin polimerization other applications At the company's production sites in Augusta (Sicily) and Sarroch (Sardinia) LINPAR n-paraffins are produced from select kerosene and/or gasoil, feedstocks using extraction technology based on molecular sieves. After appropriate purification treatment (desulfurization, dearomatization, etc.), the n-paraffin stream is passed into the fractionation unit, where the desired LINPAR cuts are obtained. The Augusta plant uses Sasol Italy Augusta technology, i.e. adsorption in the gaseous phase, to produce LINPAR n-paraffins in the C10 - C14 range. The Sarroch plant produces LINPAR n-paraffins in the C14 - C20 range using UOP extraction technology, i.e. adsorption in the liquid phase. At Augusta and Sarroch advanced technology is combined with close process control and standardized testing procedures to ensure a product of consistently high quality. All LINPARs are high-purity n-paraffins, odorless and colorless. LINPARs have an n-alkane content of over 98% by mass and contain an extremely low amount of undesirable impurities, such as isoparaffins, aromatics, olefins, sulfur, etc. The aromatic content of LINAR n-paraffins is low enough to recommend their use in all major applications. CHLOROPARAFFINS Chloroparaffins derived from LINPAR n-paraffins have a variety of industrial applications where high purity is a basic specification. They are used as: plasticizers in surface coating systems; auxiliary chemicals in the textile, leather and paper industries; high-pressure additives for cutting fluides; intermediates in the manufacture of sealants and mastics; secondary PVC plasticizers. High-purity, odorless, colorless C10 to C12 paraffin. Used as an intermediate in the manufacture of sealants and mastics. Contains a very low amount of undesirable impurities, such as isoparaffins, aromatics, olefins, sulfur, etc.
