This resin is supplied in flake form and is easily blended into rubber stock. SP-1077* develops high tack levels in rubber compounds which are used in the construction of tires and mechanical goods. It has been found that adequate tack levels can be achieved using lower levels of SP-1077* than is possible with conventional alkylphenolic tackifiers. In addition, SP-1077* provides tack in heretofore difficult to tackify compounds, such as those incorporating EPDM as part of their elastomer content. Thermoplastic, alkylphenol resin.
