KBM 9103 3-triethoxysilyl-N-(1,3dimethyl-butyliden) Shin-Etsu Crosslinking / Coupling / Curing Agents >> Silane Epoxy (EP) Aminoplaste & Phenoplastes (UF, MUF...) ADHESIVE KBM-9103 is a masked aminosilane with latent reactivity that is prepared from a primary amine coupling agent and a ketone compound. This masked aminosilane (ketimine structure: -N=CR1R2) does not exhibit the normal characteristics of a primary silane but, when exposed to any form of water, hydrolysis occurs rapidly. The ketone byproduct escapes to leave an activated primary amine. To take advantage of these above characteristics, aminosilanes can now be used as additives for formulated resins that usually are not compatible with aminosilanes, such as epoxy, or phenol for paints, adhesives and surface treating agents. These new formulations enable good adhesion and reinforcement while enabling one-component packaging systems. Used as an additive to epoxy adhesives (To promote one-component system and bonding) Masked aminosilane coupling agent prepared from a primary amine coupling agent and a ketone compound. Used for epoxy adhesives. Enables good adhesion and reinforcement while enabling one-component packaging systems.
