It is neutralized with N,N-dimethyl ethanolamine. In its water diluted form, Daotan VTW 6420/75NMP is shear stable, pigment compatible and hydroxy-functional. It can be cured to highly elastic films by isocyanates or melamines. The OH-number is approx. 40 mg ´KOH/g (ref. solids). Because of the characteristics of Daotan VTW 6420/75NMP it is possible to formulate coatings with an agreeable soft grip, especially when it is used in combination with Daotan VTW 6430/35WANMP. These type of paints are called soft-feel-coatings. These coatings exhibit perfect adhesion to polycarbonate, ABs, hard PVC, PUR-RIM and pre-treadet PP/EPDM blends. In every case the adhesion to the specifically used substrate has to be checked in advance. Further Daotan VTW 6420/75NMP is recommended as a agent for a lot of uses.
