Capa 6800 Caprolactone homopolymer Solvay Caprolactones PU - Prepolymers >> Caprolactone based ADHESIVE >> Hot-melt ADHESIVE >> Reactive system CAPA® 6800 is a high molecular weight linear polyester derived from caprolactone monomer. It has a molecular weight of 80,000 and is used in a variety of applications. It is compatible with a wide range of common thermoplastics, and soluble in several common solvents. Caprolactone homopolymer The combination of adhesion to difficult substrates and low melting temperature enables thermoplastic grades of CAPA® to be used in speciality hot melt adhesive applications. In particular, the low melting point and low melt viscosity combine to make CAPA® hot melts suitable for use with temperature sensitive substrates. The growth in demand for reactive hot melts has also highlighted the versatility of CAPA® products where the functionality and molecular weights can be varied to maximise performance. Typical end uses are: Shoe Counters Reactive Hot Melts for Non-wovens Binder for Non-wovens Scatter Coat Interlining Adhesives The benefits provided by CAPA® products are: Excellent adhesion to leather and other difficult substrates. Low temperature activation. Reactivated by heat, no solvent needed. Biodegradable. Non-toxic. Crystalline, rigid polymer with high elongation. Polar polyester easily pigmented or coloured. Compatible with wide range of polymers. Hydroxyl groups allow sites for reaction. Low melt viscosity allows ease of application and penetration into substrate. Low Tg gives good low temperature performance. CAPA® FB grades are unique polycaprolactone thermoplastics, which have specifically been designed for conversion into blown film on conventional equipment. These can be used in high performance laminating adhesives. Typical end uses are: Paper Laminates CAPA® thermoplastics can also be converted to cast or blown film for use in laminated adhesive film High molecular weight linear polyester derived from caprolactone monomer. Can be used in a variety of applications, in speciality hot melt adhesive applications and in high performance laminating adhesives. Suits for use with temperature sensitive substrates. Provides very good adhesion to leather and other difficult substrates. Offers compatibility with a wide range of common thermoplastics. Applications : shoe counters, reactive hot melts for non-wovens, binder for non-wovens, scatter coat interlining adhesives, paper laminates.
