Emultex 427 is a highly versatile product which forms a basis for both packaging and building adhesives. Emultex 427 is a high viscosity emulsion which exhibits good adhesion to a range of low energy surfaces and hence form a good base for bonding PVC foils to chipboard or for bonding coated papers to board. Emultex 427 is a fast setting adhesive which can be easily compounded to produce a range of adhesives which vary in viscosity without compromising performance. Emultex 427 is compatible with the common solvents, palsticiers, fillers, biocides and defoamers used in adhesive formulations. Emultex 427 also finds use in the building industry as a concrete admixture/bonding agent. The emulsion offers improved strength characteristics and durability in comparision with conventional plasticised, vinyl acetate homopolymers.
