It is suitable as a binder for coating of metals and glass and for laminating paper to aluminium foil, either on its own or in combination with casein solutions. It is also recommended for one pack tile adhesive applications. The dispersion stands out by its good chemical and mechanical stability. The dispersion dries under normal conditions to a medium-stiff film. The polymer has good adhesion to mineral and polar surfaces. With thickeners the dispersion can be adjusted to the viscosity necessary for use, for instance with polyary-late thickeners. It is compatible with inert fillers and, after adjusting the pH-value, also with many synthetic resin dispersions. Because of the great variety of different products, we recommend, however, to test the compatibility in each case in advance, also for a longer storage period. Carboxylated styrene-butadiene latex.
