Applications include one and two part room temperature vulcanizable silicone compositions (RTV addition cure systems). These are utilized sealants. Cure time is reduced from hours to minutes in RTV systems due to the solubility of these catalysts in dimethylsiloxane polymers. For hydrosilyation reactions or two part RTV systems, it is recommended that UCT's platinum catalysts be utilized at 2-50 ppm range platinum metal based on total formulation weight. The reactivity of PC075 can be modified using inhibitors such as UCT'S products S16175 and S16500 to achieve optimum reactivity. Intermediate reactivity, useful for slow room temperature cures and moderate (30-100 C) higher temperature cures. Platinum vinyl siloxane with inermediate reactivity. Used as catalyst for promoting hydrosilylation reactions in one and two part room temperature vulcanizable silicone sealants.
