Benzoflex® 131 is moderately volatile when compared to primary plasticizers such as Benzoflex® 9-88; the volatile nature of Benzoflex® 131 may be used to advantage in such applications as vinyl compounding. It is a moderate solvator for vinyl and has excellent stain resistance. Benzoflex® 131 is a clear, low viscosity organic liquid that is useful as a specialty plasticizer. This plasticizer is moderately volatile when compared to primary plasticizers such as Benzoflex® 9-88. APPLICATIONS / BENEFITS The volatile nature of Benzoflex® 131 may be used to advantage in several speciality applications in the vinyl compounding area. This plasticizer is a moderate solvator for vinyl. In addition, Benzoflex® 131 plasticized vinyl has excellent stain resistance. Volatile plasticizers, such as the Benzoflex® 131, are used in the formulation of caulks, sealants and adhesives. Other plastisol applications requiring a fugitive plasticizer exist in which this product may be used.
