Benzoflex 284 benzoate ester Velsicol Plasticizers >> Benzoate >> Dipropylene Glycol Dibenzoate Polyvinyl acetate emulsions & derivatives (PVAc…) SEALANT ADHESIVE Propylene Glycol Dibenzoate (1,2-Propanediol, Dibenzoate) Aromatic ester (Aromatic) Benzoflex® 284 is an effective high solvating plasticizer especially suited for polyvinyl chloride applications requiring low temperature processing and/or high stain resistance. Polyvinyl chloride formulations containing Benzoflex® 284 can be processed at lower temperatures and/or a quicker production rate than many other high solvating plasticizers. In addition, vinyls containing this plasticizer have excellent resistance to staining compared to vinyls containing other stain resistant type plasticizers. Benzoflex® 284 also performs well as a plasticizer in latex caulk formulations. Caulks based on this plasticizer are stable and have good adhesive characteristics. Due to its excellent range of compatibilities, Benzoflex® 284 is used in other applications such as polyvinyl acetate adhesives and castable polyurethanes. It may also be used in latex paints as a coalescing agent.
