DUR-O-SET E-130 is compatible with fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol allowing for the formulation of a wide range of products from one base resin. It also provides the mechanical stability needed for high speed adhesive applications. Provides good water resistance Compatible with fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol Provides good wet tack, set speed and filminess DUR-O-SET E-130 has a high viscosity response to the addition of plasticizers or solvents. The graph shown below illustrates the effect of Benzoflex® 50 plasticizer on the final viscosity. These results may vary depending on the type and level of other plasticizers or solvents used, and on other ingredients present in the formulation. The plasticizer response of DUR-O-SET E-130 will allow an adhesive to be formulated to viscosity specifications at reduced solids, with no loss in performance. This ability to accept more water will provide an increased yield at reduced cost. The following chart illustrates the dilution effect of E-130 with water and indicates the viscosity at a given solids level. The application of DUR-O-SET E-130 allows for the formulation of high set speed adhesives at a cost effective price.
