VINAVIL EVA 04 is used to prepare indoor emulsion paint, also at high PVC, with a good wet abrasion resistance. It can also be used for preparing wall texture coatings. It is also suitable for preparing gas oil resistant emulsion paint and adhesives for expanded polystyrene insulating coatings. VINAVIL EVA 04 is a vinyl acetate- ethylene copolymer; the presence of ethylene implies a low film forming temperature, even without coalescing agents, and high film strength. The amount of ethilene has been calculated to obtain both a low value of the film forming temperature and a low stickness; it also implies a good resistance to alkaline substance. VINAVIL EVA 04 shows a pseudoplastic behaviour that gives a good applications characheristics to the emulsion paint based on it. VINAVIL EVA 04 is fully compatible with all the component used to prepared emulsion paints and with VINAVIL emulsions, but it is better to verify previously the compatibility of each component of the formulation. Vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer with polyvinyl alcohol as emulsifying system. Possesses a pseudoplastic behaviour, a low stickiness and high film strength. Provides alkaline substance and good gas oil resistance. Used in adhesives.
