Vinavil EVA 202 Vinyl acetate ethylene copolymer Vinavil Ethylene copolymers - emulsions (VAE, EVC) >> Vinyl Acetate Ethylene copolymers, VAE ADHESIVE >> Water-based VINAVIL EVA 202 is an aqueous dispersion of a vinyl acetate - ethylene copolymer with 55% solid content without external plasticizers and coalescing agents. Paper and board adhesives. VINAVIL EVA 202 is a vinyl acetate - ethylene copolymer with 55% of solids content particularly suitable for the preparation of paper adhesives where a quick setting time is required. It’s excellent setting speed and good adhesion on different substrates (lacquered or plasticcoated; polyolefin films and other difficult to bond materials) make VINAVIL EVA 202 the ideal base for adhesives used on automatic high speed machines (e.g.: automatic packaging machines). Another important characteristic of VINAVIL EVA 202 is its good water resistance. VINAVIL EVA 202 shows excellent compatibility with all the components normally used in the formulation of aqueous adhesives based on VA:E copolymers such as thickeners, plasticizers, solvents and tackifiers. Tackifiers can be added to VINAVIL EVA 202 after dissolving them in solvents ( e.g. toluene, ethyl acetate, etc. ). Notable increases of viscosity can be obtained by adding plasticizers and solvents: such increases are instantaneous and stable over time. Food grade VINAVIL EVA 202 complies by composition with: 1. BGVV XIV Reccomandation 2. FDA CFR 175.105 (Adhesives) Vinylacetate-ethylene copolymer with polyvinyl alcohol as emulsifying system. Possesses quick setting time, very good setting speed, good water resistance and good compatibility with usually employed components in vinyl-ethylene copolymers based aqueous adhesives(thickeners, plasticizers, solvents and tackifiers). Provides very good adhesion on different substrates(lacquered or plastic-coated; polyolefin films...). Used in paper and board adhesives.
