Vinnapas CEF 52 W Vinyl chloride, ethylene and vinyl ester terpolymer Wacker Ethylene copolymers - emulsions (VAE, EVC) ADHESIVE VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W is a dispersion of a vinyl chloride, ethylene and vinyl ester terpolymer. This dispersion is used as binder in pigmented surface coatings such as synthetic-resin-bound plasters, renderings and exterior masonry coatings. Due to its special composition and manufacture it is possible to produce highly hydrophobic formulations with VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W. Protective colloid / emulsifier system anionic surfactants Filler and pigment compatibility very good VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W is low in odour. Films made from VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W show very low water absorption and excellent resistance towards saponification. Pigmented films possess very good weathering stability. VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W is often used as the sole binder; however, it can be combined with inorganic binders such as cement and lime. In such blends VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W improves adhesional bond strength, flexural bond strength, flexibility, abrasion resistance and workability. In external thermal insulation composite systems VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W is suitable as binder for cement-free adhesive and reinforcing stopper – although a blend with cement is possible. VINNAPAS® CEF 52 W is good compatible with Portland cement; this compatibility is used in adhesives and reinforcing stoppers to increase the water resistance.
