Vinnapas RE 5600 G Vinyl acetate/ethylene copolymer Wacker Ethylene copolymers - emulsions (VAE, EVC) >> Vinyl Acetate Ethylene copolymers, VAE ADHESIVE SEALANT >> Putty Vinnapas ® RE 5600 G is a water-redispersible vinyl acetate–ethylene copolymer powder with good saponification resistance. Vinnapas ® RE 5600 G is a product especially devel-oped for gypsum applications, for the manufacture of wall trowelling compounds, joint fillers, gypsum adhe-sives or as a sole binder in special trowelling com-pounds. In gypsum-based compounds, Vinnapas® RE 5600 G improves adhesion, abrasion resistance, and flexural strength with no significant effect on flow properties, thixotropy or water retention. It is therefore suitable for combining with mortar additives used to obtain par-ticular processing properties. Vinnapas® RE 5600 G improves workability, adhesion strength, flexural strength, abrasion resistance and plasticity of the gypsum compounds modified. Note that Vinnapas® RE 5600 G and the water retention agent increase air content, and antifoam agents may therefore be necessary for some critical applications. Vinnapas® RE 5600 G contains a fine mineral filler as antiblocking agent. It is free of solvents, plasticizers and film-forming aids. Protective colloid-surfactant Polyvinyl alcohol and high molecular polymers Gypsum-based adhesive mortars The addition of 1-4 % of RE 5600 G to bedding mor-tars for bonding polystyrene foam and fixing gypsum plasterboards, gypsum fibreboards and mineral fibre-boards to masonry imparts improves adhesion, flex-ural strength and impact strength. An amount of 0.1 – 0.3 % cellulose ether, starch ether or a combination of these is additionally employed. Trowelling compounds and sealing slurries For the production of gypsum trowelling compounds with good mechanical properties, we recommend a composition containing 30 – 90 % modelling plaster, 5 – 70 % calcium carbonate, 2 – 4 % Vinnapas® RE 5600 G, 0.15 – 0.50 % of a cellulose ether (possi-bly modified to improve non-slump properties) and if necessary organic fibres to increase the non-slump properties. Interior trowelling compounds, putties, joint fillers Vinnapas® RE 5600 G is ideal for enhancing joint fill-ers; a particularly good bond is obtained, when paper or glass-fibre reinforcing tape is used. Solvent-free, plasticizer-free, film-forming aid-free, water-redispersible vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer powder. Used for gypsum applications, for the manufacture of joint fillers, gypsum-based adhesive mortars and putties. Offers good saponification resistance. Improves workability, adhesion strength, abrasion resistance, plasticity and flexural strength with no significant effect on flow properties, thixotropy or water retention. Contains a fine mineral filler as antiblocking agent and polyvinyl alcohol and high molecular polymers as protective colloid-surfactant.
