Wacker HDK T40 Fumed silica Wacker Rheology Modifiers / Thickeners >> Mineral >> Fumed Silica Polyesters Silicones (Si) ADHESIVE Hydrophilic WACKER HDK® is produced by the introduction of volatile chlorosilanes into an oxyhydrogen flame. Chemically, fumed silica consists of ultrapure amorphous silicon dioxide and has the appearance of a light white powder. Hydrophilic fumed silica is wetted by water and also disperses in water. Hydrophilic WACKER HDK® is used as a thixotropic agent in coatings, printing inks, adhesives, UP resins, plastisols, or as a flow aid, for example in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food-processing industries. One of the most important properties of WACKER HDK® is its ability to increase viscosity and provide thixotropic effects. WACKER HDK® T40 Pyrogenic silica - Fumed Silica Synthetic, hydrophilic amorphous silica, produced via flame hydrolysis White colloidal powder of high purity WACKER HDK ® T40 is applied as thickening and thixotropic agent in many organic systems, e.g. in unsaturated poly-esters, coatings, printing inks, adhesives and others, if high gloss and transparency is required. WACKER HDK ® T40 is used as reinforcing filler in elastomers, mainly silicone-elastomers. WACKER HDK ® T40 is used as free flow additive in the production of powder substances and food stuff. High purity, synthetic, hydrophilic amorphous silica. Used as a thickening and thixotropic agent in adhesives. Can be wetted by water. Offers high gloss and transparency.
