An excellent raw material for rubber polymers, paper size, and adhesive resins where color stability is not critical. Derived from the sulphate pulping process, Westvaco's tall oil rosins are excellent raw materials for the production of paper size, rubber polymers, inks, and adhesive tackifiers. Tall oil rosins are primarily a mixture of isomeric tricyclic diterpene acids including abietic, dehydroabietic, palustric, isopimaric and pimaric. TOR are generally categorized by the Pine Chemicals Association as those products containing at least 87% rosin acids. Medium-colored, high softening point tall oil rosin. Used as tackifier for adhesives where color stability is not critical. Contains at least 87% rosin acids.
