Candelilla wax Candelilla 8006-44-8 Whittaker Waxes & Paraffin ADHESIVE SEALANT Wax - Candelilla - Candelilla is a vegetable wax found in great quantities in Northwestern Mexico and Southern Texas. Candelilla is extracted from the scrub Euphorbia Cerifera, by boiling and skimming off the resultant layer of wax. The raw ma-terial comes to Koster Keunen in lump form and is then twice bleached and filtered to a light yellow color. Koster Keunen, Inc has been supplying industry with American Double Refined Candelilla for almost two centuries. Candelilla 204 produces excellent gloss and structure when blended into various natural, mineral and synthetic oils where the end product must have a firm product with a high melt point. Candelilla is 50% hydrocarbons. These hydrocarbons give Candelilla water repellent properties while the Candelilla resins help produce film forming properties.
