Hydrin H45 Polyepichlorohydrin elastomer 24969-06-0 Zeon Chemical Rubber - Elastomer >> Epichlorohydrin rubber, CO, ECO, GCO, GECO ADHESIVE SEALANT >> Pre-formed tape / Gasket Outstanding ozone and gas permeation resistance. Used for fuel hose, vibration mounts, adhesives, and gaskets. Description: Hydrin H-45 is an epichlorohydrin homopolymer with high oil, fuel and solvent resistance. Compounds using Hydrin H-45 typically exhibit good heat resistance, excellent ozone resistance along with outstanding gas impermeability. Sufficient antioxidant is added during the manufacturing process for normal aging conditions. Hydrin® epichlorohydrin elastomers offer mechanical properties very much like natural rubber along with many of the desirable properties of nitrile, polychloroprene, polysulfide and polyacrylic rubbers. The overall balance of properties these specialty polyether rubbers provide is not available with other oil-resistant rubbers. The unique properties of Hydrin® have improved the performance of numerous products. Compounds of Hydrin® maintain their hardness and resiliency over a broad temperature range. Permeability of gases is extremely low. Each Hydrin® elastomer has certain properties unmatched in the other. Hydrin® H is outstanding in its low gas permeability and ozone resistance. It is about three times as impermeable to air as butyl rubber. Ozone resistance is inherent in the polymer – not added by special compounding. Vulcanizates of both Hydrin® H and Hydrin® C 2000 exhibit extremely low swell in ASTM oils, aliphatic solvents and aromatic fuels. Both have low hysteresis. Hydrin® H has high damping at room temperature. Hydrin® C 2000 has low damping, and relatively constant hardness and flexibility over a wide temperature range. It has true low-temperature flexibility, not just a low brittle point. This puts Hydrin® C 2000 elastomers in the oil resistant, low-temperature class with polysulfide and fluorinated rubbers. Certain grades of the raw polymers are soluble and have sufficient tack to make them of interest for adhesives. When Hydrin® H, Hydrin® C2000 series or Hydrin® T 3000 series elastomers are blended, the properties are generally intermediate and proportional to the amount of each polymer. Properly formulated compounds have the smooth mill processing and good building tack of polychloroprene and natural rubber. Epichlorohydrin homopolymer. Possesses high oil, fuel and solvent resistance and low hysteresis. Used in adhesives and gaskets. Provides good heat resistance, very good ozone resistance and gas impermeability, hardness and resiliency over a broad temperature range. Offers mechanical properties very much like natural rubber along with many of the desirable properties of nitrile, polychloroprene, polysulfide and polyacrylic rubbers.
