Silane-modified adhesives and sealants based on MS polymers number among the latest developments of the past few years. They are designed as one-component systems. Curing speeds of five mm/day are reached, depending on the ambient conditions.
Due to their chemical structure MS polymers exhibit good weathering and aging resistance as well as an almost universal adhesion spectrum without need of primers. Especially on critical substrates MS polymers often succeed where other systems fail. MS polymers can be covered right after the application process with aqueous as well as with solvent-based paints.
MS polymers are applied for the elastic sealing of joints and flanges as well as for the frictional connection of parts in wagon and container production, apparatus construction, metal- and tin-work, plastics technology, air-conditioning and ventilating systems, and clean-room technology.
