Adhesives and Sealants Industry
- Nov 20, 2002
Hercules Inc. has given a new name-Pinova-to its Rosin
and Terpene Specialties Division. The business was separated in 2001 from
the company's Resins Division, portions of which were divested by Hercules.
The Pinova unit develops, manufactures, and is a supplier of rosin and
terpene chemical for use in numerous industries worldwide. This is an
industry pioneer and the oldest business within Hercules, dating to 1920.
The name Pinova was adopted in 2002 to reflect the legacy in pine chemistry,
a new energy for growth, and the commitment to providing innovative solutions
to customers. Pinova business director W.L. "Lin" Godsey said the new
identity reflects "our reenergized commitment to the many global markets
that we serve."
