BASF to increase prices for ACRONAL®, ACRONAL OPTIVE™ and BASONAL® products in the U.S. and Canada

SpecialChem - Jan 20, 2010

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Effective Jan. 29, 2010, or as contracts allow, BASF will increase its prices for ACRONAL and ACRONAL OPTIVE all-acrylic latex products, ACRONAL styrene-acrylic latex products, and BASONAL multi-monomer latex products by $US 0.05 per wet pound in the United States and Canada. ACRONAL, ACRONAL OPTIVE, and BASONAL products are used as ingredients for various applications in the adhesives, fiber bonding, architectural coatings, and construction markets.

This action is necessary as a result of significant increases in costs for raw materials, including propylene, styrene and acrylic monomers.

ACRONAL and BASONAL are registered trademarks of BASF SE, used with permission. ACRONAL OPTIVE is a trademark of BASF SE, used with permission.
