Aliphatic isocyanates are widely used to develop high performance adhesives
for wood applications (wood-on-wood, wood-on-PVC or PVC laminated on wood), that
require at least one of the following performances: |
For example, adhesives used for wooden kitchen furniture and bathroom cabinets
are highly demanding applications as they have to stick firmly, even in very hot
and humid conditions. Besides, they should be invisible and remain transparent
upon ageing to preserve a nice and aesthetic aspect to the furniture.
The addition of 10% approx. of ready-to-use crosslinkers
in the formulation will significantly improve heat and humidity resistance and adhesives
with a D4 classification (according to EN 204 standard) can be achieved.
