Within the nonwoven industry, hot melt adhesives are used extensively for the production
of a variety of products such as baby diapers, feminine care products and medical
goods.
In general, the formulation of hot melt adhesives for the nonwoven industry requires
products with superior technical performance as well as regulatory compliance. Antioxidants
will provide the high stability in molten stage needed for these industrial processes
that are highly sensitive to any rheoligical change, which may result in loss of
production efficiency. High adhesion properties are also required to bond difficult
substrates such as polypropylene or to maintain elastics elongation.
