Great Bond Strength on Hard to Bond Materials

PUD's compatibility to many substrates

A primary issue when choosing the appropriate adhesive for an application is its affinity to the substrate to be bonded. Depending on your application, a wide range of materials and textiles may be used.

Owing to their polymer structure polyurethane dispersions have excellent adhesive properties when bonded to many natural and synthetic materials used in various fields of application.

Figure 1 below shows, for example, the peel strength of polyurethane dispersions on different typical sole materials used in the footwear industry.

As you can see, polyurethane dispersions achieve a high bond strength to many synthetic substrates. Polyurethane dispersions are particularly effective in bonding difficult to bond substrates such as plasticized PVC.
