Flexible Packaging

Paper, film and foils are common materials used to assemble laminated flexible packaging e.g. in food applications.

These multi-layer laminates are assembled to achieve key properties which are critical to preserve the high initial quality of the packages' content.

Adhesives based on polyurethane dispersions are an interesting solution for use in flexible packaging applications. They provide numerous benefits compared to solvent-based adhesives:

 Low solvent emission eliminates the need for recovery systems and allow for better working conditions

The viscosity of the dispersions is freely adjustable to adapt them to the requirements of the particular application

High processing speed is possible(cost reduction)
