Hot-Melts for Industrial Applications

Industrial hot-melts should ideally be formulated to have a low melting point to reduce the time and energy required for applying them and should form a continuous film when spread over the substrates to be bonded.

Luvitec® VA 64 is the product of choice for formulating hot-melts: it provides good tack when processing the adhesive, but also durable adhesion to the assembly. it reduces the melting temperature and is thermally stable over a wide range of temperature it improves the formation of the adhesive film on the substrates.

Luvitec® VA 64 is particularly suitable for adhesives formulated for bonding to glass, metal, paper and most plastic surfaces. As Luvitec® is soluble in water, it is particularly suited for the production of water-soluble adhesives such as those uses for remoistenable envelopes.
