The Challenge

Finding the right alternative to hydrocarbon resins in order to achieve better longevity while maintaining or even improve the performances of adhesives is pretty hard to do, especially for demanding applications like tapes and labels.

The Solution

DRT Dercolyte® TS 95 naturally-based tackifier is the perfect solution for HMPSA formulators. Below graphs demonstrate of Dercolyte® TS 95 highly valuable attributes: color stability and good ageing and adhesive/cohesive performances.

Description of Hot Melt PSA formulations used in the graphs below:
Synthetic polymer (SBS or SEBS or SIS) + rosin ester (Dertoline® PLS) + liquid resin (Dercolyte® LTG) + antioxydant + resin (HC resin or Dercolyte® TS 95).
