Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) are formed by linear polymeric chains of segmented structure. Their structure is characterized by a small proportion of hard segments in comparison with their content in soft segments. Among various critical properties required in a wide range of applications, the resulting adhesives show impressive high tenacity and stress-strain power.
Thanks to their high polarity, TPUs bond to metal, plastics, rubber, ceramic, wood, and even to various "non-stick" substrates.
TPUs are the ideal adhesives in a wide range of markets such as footwear, transportation, furniture or textile.
