Out-licensing Chemicals & Materials technologies with limited resources and in fragmented markets
From informal know-how to highly patent-protected intellectual property, every industrial company owns technologies that are more or less formalized. For decades, it has been part of the core business for many large chemical companies to monetize them outside their own walls, putting in place some out-licensing processes. For example, Dow Chemical collects several hundreds of millions of dollars in annual licensing revenues.

Advances in Business Dev Strategies for Specialty Chemicals & Materials:
Accelerating New Technology Launches & Finding Niche Applications
View Presentation Launching new technologies in Specialty Chemicals & Materials (e.g. Plastics, Additives, Coatings or Adhesives) is often a long and complex challenge to accelerate market adoption for a new technology. This is difficult from the early R&D / strategic marketing perspective, and the continuation into the operational product launch.

Have you Considered Microencapsulation Technology? Get Inspired by the Challenges it can Solve for Your Adhesive Formulation...
View Presentation The following WebSeminar will help you find out how microencapsulation allows adhesives formulators to put incompatible materials together in the same formulation, formulate easily with actives that are unstable, prone to oxidation or volatile, start a reaction on demand (by improving the control of inhibition / initiation of the adhesive reaction) and change the physical form of a formulation.

Ensure HIGH BONDING STRENGTH in difficult environments for a wide range of substrates types with the new HPA transfer tapes and double coated range
View Presentation The assembly of high performance end-products often requires the bonding of dissimilar substrates, including low surface energy (LSE) substrates, while withstanding physical and chemical exposure to demanding environments.

Styrene Block Copolymer (SBC) for technical textile hot-melt adhesives When "technical" rhymes with "performance"
View Presentation Technical textile and non-woven ones represent a very broad range of application types, with distinct specific requirements (furniture, automotive interior, carpet, medical dressings, non-woven lamination...).

How POSS® Chemicals can Enhance Performance and Lead to Cost Savings: POSS® for Thermosets, Coatings, Inks, Adhesives and Dispersion aids
View Presentation POSS is a drop-in solution to increase your throughput and is used to expand the performance envelope of existing hydrocarbon thermosets, coatings, adhesives and high performance plastics. Dr. Joe Schwab, our POSS expert from Hybrid Plastics, will present through relevant case studies how POSS® provides significant benefits such as Improved hydrophobicity and chemical stability for demanding coatings, adhesives and composite resins and Enhanced flow and dispersion of high performance plastics.

SBCs as an alternative to substitute chloroprene rubber in Solvent borne contact adhesives
View Presentation Solvent-borne contact adhesives formulators and end-users in the Building & Construction, Furniture and house hold appliances assembly may have been witnesses and/or victims of past shortages when it came to use chloroprene rubber in specific adhesive formulations. This issue is usually cyclic and may occur again in the future.

Innovate with ECHELON Polyurethane Prepolymers
View Presentation Benefit from the 50+ years of DOW's experience in polyurethane science to increase your product offering to the CASE market. Attend our next WebSeminar and interact with Polyurethane Prepolymers experts to reduce development costs and product development cycle time.

Get an Overview of SBCs´ Benefits and Discover Why They Can Be a Cost-Effective Alternative in Your Day-to-Day Adhesive Formulations
View Presentation As an adhesive formulator, you may be familiar with Styrene Bloc Copolymers (SBCs)´s broad versatility, whatever the application, such as packaging, tapes and labels, transportation or B&C applications. But are you aware of the latest innovations in this field?

Novel Tailor-made Styrene-Block Copolymer Family for Superior Productivity and Mechanical Properties
View Presentation Hot-melt and contact adhesives are both commonly used in most industries such as Building & Constructions, Transportation, Packaging or Tape. However, according to the specific application requirements, formulations will vary with a constant concern from adhesive and sealant formulators on reaching high performances while being cost effective...

Innovative HOT MELT Adhesive Solutions for Powder, Films, Tapes and Webs
View Presentation Sew-free trends in textile and footwear fabrics, along with the need for performing Solvent-Free Solutions beyond water-based adhesives in automotive applications, among others, require New Hot Melt Adhesive Solutions.

New PU solutions for New Adhesives Demands : Reactive Hot Melts, Chloroprene Replacement, Renewable formulations.
View Presentation Whatever the adhesive, adhesive manufacturers always seek to either improve the benefits brought to the end-users or to maintain the product’s performances while finding new cost-effective alternatives. Today, new polyurethane solutions are available. Indeed, some innovative TPU grades can represent excellent chloroprene alternatives in the footwear and D-I-Y industries while other TPU additives can reduce RHM formulation costs. Discover these Innovative PU solutions which can be part of your future success stories.
